Description
This educational trunk will help the formal or informal educator and students of all ages learn about:
- water basics
- the role and function of water in Texas by exploring aquatic ecosystems, including the plants and animals associated with these habitats
- water conservation and stewardship
Using:
- activities designed to be used inside, outside and may include field investigations
- variety of fun, hands-on activities and resources
- background information for the teacher/leader
- field equipment
- posters, CDs and DVDs are also included
- may be used individually or to supplement existing programs and curriculum
The resource section of the handbook includes:
- Maps
- River and Aquifer Information
- children’s reading list
- instructions on how to build hydrogeology models and rain barrels.
